We're seeking an experienced Consulting Director to join our team in New Zealand & the South Pacific. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll work closely with Account Executives to identify and pursue new business opportunities, design and deliver high-quality client engagements, and drive strategic growth for both our clients and Visa.

The Role

You'll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of consulting engagements, working with senior client stakeholders to understand their business challenges and develop comprehensive solutions that meet their needs. This will involve collaborating with VCA's Practice teams to design and deliver advisory services, managing project setup and execution, and ensuring seamless stakeholder engagement throughout the process.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and challenges, participating in account planning and identifying opportunities for advisory services.
  • Prepare client project proposals, engaging with clients to define objectives, scope, approach, and deliverables.
  • Oversee project setup, including contracting documentation, stakeholder engagement, interview guides, and client data requirements.
  • Manage the execution of one or more project engagements, building client relationships, utilizing governance frameworks, and mitigating complex problems.
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, and recommendations, supporting implementation at the client site.

Your Qualifications

We're looking for an exceptional leader with 12+ years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or business management. You should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, is crucial. Innovative thinking, familiar with a range of consulting approaches, and experience in simultaneously managing multiple projects are also essential.
