**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced and motivated teacher to lead our social science learning area. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching and leading social sciences, with a particular emphasis on history.

About the Role:

  • Lead the social science learning area, developing and implementing curriculum plans that meet the needs of our students
  • Mentor and support teachers to ensure they have the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitor student progress and achievement, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to ensure seamless communication and support

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Proven experience in teaching and leading social sciences, with a focus on history
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
