Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Museum Educator to join our Cultural Experiences Learning team. As a Science Education Program Developer, you will be responsible for developing, communicating, and delivering engaging education programmes for school and community groups.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and deliver best practice education experiences and programmes to students, whanau, and other relevant learners
  • Collaborate with other Learning Team members to ensure excellent experiences for students, teachers, and participants
  • Assist in the provision of other learning services and programmes within Puke Ariki, schools, offsite venues, including the Art Gallery and Community Libraries
  • Engage young people in exploring local, national, and international histories and scientific, geographical, social, and cultural movements

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary learning/teaching qualification or relative teaching experience planning and implementing education programmes for young people
  • Driver's licence
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga, and Te Reo Maori
  • Knowledge of The New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and teaching methods with strengths in science
