Support Children with Special Needs

As an occupational therapist with the Blind and Low Vision Education Network NZ, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who are blind, deafblind or have low vision.

About the Role

This is a part-time, permanent position based at Homai Campus, Manurewa, Auckland. You will work alongside a teaching team, assessing and supporting students with low vision and other sensory impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualised support to students with low vision and other sensory impairments
  • Developing strategies to support the implementation of these in the classroom
  • Collaborating with teaching teams and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a recognised qualification in occupational therapy, registration with OTBNZ and an annual practising certificate.
