We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team within the Regional Rehabilitation Service (RRS). The RRS provides specialized care with a focus on recovery and rehabilitation in both secure and open settings.
The Tawhirimatea unit is a 29-bed facility that offers a range of individual and group programs and activities to support recovery for clients who may require a stay in a safer environment. Clients have access to services both on and off the unit, and a multi-disciplinary team approach is provided to ensure comprehensive care.
**Your Role**
As an occupational therapist, you will work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to support individuals as they transition from inpatient care to the community. You will offer specialized assessment and treatment for people with enduring mental illness.
**What We Offer**
You will be part of a dynamic team that works collaboratively to enhance the recovery process for people residing in the open inpatient setting. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside nursing staff to ensure individual care plans are supported.
**Requirements**
- NZ Registered Occupational Therapist with current annual practicing certificate
- Member of Occupational Therapy New Zealand - Professional Association (desirable)
- Full driver's license
