Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager Complex to join our team and lead and deliver transport infrastructure projects as part of our Owner Interface team. You will be responsible for collaborating and engaging with teams across Waka Kotahi, local authorities, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture close collaboration with all Alliance partners, including local iwi, contractors, and consultants.
  • Manage contracts within the civil engineering industry and have a sound understanding of delivery models (Alliancing, Traditional NZS3910).
  • Negotiate successfully with senior leaders within the transport sector or similar.
  • Lead project teams of internal and external professional people to deliver projects through various stages, including business case development, planning, procurement, detailed design, and implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience in project management, including programme, financial, and risk management, preferably in the transport sector.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • A collaborative and team-focused approach to project development.
