About the Job: Capital & Coast District Health Board is looking for a motivated and empathetic Support Worker to join our Intellectual Disability Secure Service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clinicians and other professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
About Our Team: Our service is staffed by a diverse team of clinicians from medical, nursing, allied health, and support work backgrounds. We are committed to providing high-quality care and support to our clients, and we believe in the importance of teamwork and collaboration.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to our clients
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of group programs and activities
- Participate in regular supervision and education sessions
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a National Certificate in Community Health Support Services (or equivalent qualification), have good written and oral English skills, and be able to work in stressful and changing situations. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and be able to pass a Police check.
