Timberlands Limited is a leading Forest Management Company with particular expertise in forest management and operations on a significant scale. We are based in Rotorua and manage 190,000ha of pine plantations in the Central North Island on behalf of Kaingaroa Timberlands and other clients.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a skilled Stem Manager to plan and manage our 6 stem crew operations which supply our Kaingaroa Processing Plant (KPP). This role is logistically challenging and requires a high level of efficiency and supreme planning skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan weekly KPP stem supply to ensure KPP requirements are met
  • Review KPP stock, supply and plan daily and if necessary, update plan
  • Plan harvest areas within set timeframes and liaise with the engineering team to achieve optimal outcome
  • Manage stem crew performance in accordance with contracts, prescriptions, and weekly plans
  • Plan harvest operations to maximise stumpage, forest value and DIFOT
