Role Overview
">We are seeking a highly skilled Communication Specialist to join our Learning Support team in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting children and young people with learning support needs to achieve their full potential.
">Your Key Accountabilities:

- Develop and implement effective strategies to support children's speech, language, and communication skills;">
- Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other specialists to understand the impact of speech and language difficulties on children's daily lives;">
- Contribute to a trans-disciplinary team where a child's needs are complex, requiring a coordinated approach to service provision.">
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
">- ">
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Speech Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification recognized by the New Zealand Speech Language Therapists Association;">
- Specialized knowledge of theory, research, and practice related to speech language, child and human development, and learning and behavior;">
- The ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders;">
- Familiarity with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenua.">
