">This permanent, full-time role based in Whangarei, NZ, offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and make a difference in the lives of children and young people.
">As a Psychologist, you will play a critical role in our region's Learning Support team by working collaboratively with educators, parents, caregivers, and whanau to enhance understanding about children and their behaviours.
">About the Job
">Developing, implementing, and monitoring effective personalised learning plans for children is a key responsibility of this role.
">You will also facilitate access to wider services and support, including speech and language therapy and local agencies, and enhance inclusive practices in schools and other educational settings.
">Key Responsibilities
">* Collaborate with a team around the child to enhance understanding about the child and their behaviours.

Requirements
">To be successful, you will need:
* Demonstrable knowledge, experience, and skills in supporting children and young people with severe and challenging behaviours.
* An ability and willingness to work in collaborative partnership with other professionals, agencies, families, and the sector.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to sustain productive professional relationships.
* A genuine commitment to evidence-based interventions, which demonstrate inclusive education practice and contribute to raising student achievement.
* Masters-level tertiary qualification, Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), New Zealand Psychologist Board registration, and a current Practising Certificate.
