About Us Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a wide range of mental health services, including secondary care across the area. The Trust's specialist provision includes inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services including low and medium secure care. We also provide physical health and well-being services in the community alongside various partners.

Main Responsibilities

  • The post holder will work with psychological therapists within other Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) and specialist networks to develop links.
  • Clinical and professional supervision is provided, as well as opportunities for multidisciplinary team working and psychologically informed care through complex case forums and therapy models.

Requirements

  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification, accredited by the BPS, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist.
  • Increased knowledge relevant to the post, equivalent to a post-graduate diploma, including research methodology, design, and multivariate data analysis practiced in clinical fields.
  • Legislation knowledge relevant to the patient group.
  • Experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment across various care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
  • Maintaining professionalism in the face of emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse, and threats of physical abuse.
