The Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join our Technical Field Service Team at our National Support Office in Ellerslie. As a Field Service Tyre Expert, you will be responsible for evaluating, monitoring, reporting, and addressing new and retread tyre product performance across the business.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Support: Provide analysis and solutions to technical, performance, quality, and service issues, liaising with the sales team and external customers.
  • Planning and Development: Plan, implement, inspect, and maintain tyre evaluation programs, including testing products.
  • Warranty Systems: Oversee the warranty process, investigating and reporting on cases where incidents have occurred, and claims made and lodged.
  • Quality Management: Evaluate and ensure strict quality management and assurance is met across all products, as well as compliance with relevant NZ laws and Bridgestone policies.
  • Reporting, Surveys, and Technical Support: Prepare reports for senior management, new tyre products, faulty products, etc., maintain technical documents, and conduct market surveys.

Requirements:

  • A relevant BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A full, clean New Zealand Driver's license.
  • Previous mechanical or automotive engineering experience, ideally with some knowledge of tyres and the manufacturing process.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders of different levels.
  • Initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to work.
  • Comfortable travelling for field visits to retread factories, warehouses, and to stores, dealers, and customers.
