Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and passionate educator to join our well-resourced centre as a facilitator of child-led play. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Te Whariki and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Job Description: As an Education Facilitator, you will work alongside our centre whanau to open sessions, guide activities, and facilitate learning for our members and tamariki through child-led play and positive guidance. You will also support whanau in the use of Te Reo Maori and encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme.
Responsibilities:
- Role model effective facilitation techniques in child-led play
- Support whanau in using Te Reo Maori and encouraging participation in the Playcentre Education programme
- Mentor and support parents/whanau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these special years
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher, or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher. A current First Aid Certificate is also required, or you must be willing to achieve this. Desirable skills and experience include knowledge of ECE regulations and the ability to use technology.
