Job Description

The Grid Asset Controller role involves controlling the real-time operation of national grid assets, managing asset availability, and monitoring grid asset status.

You will work as part of the collaborative NGOC team, operating on a roster basis including nights and weekends.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 2-3 years of experience delivering high-quality work in a critical, process-supported and decision-orientated environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Controlling the real-time operation of national grid assets
  • Managing asset availability to the System Operator
  • Managing unplanned event communications and reporting
  • Monitoring via national SCADA, grid asset status


Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Intermediate/Advanced computer literacy and an ability to use specialised software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communications capability and service orientation
  • Innate ability to establish and maintain positive relationships and influence people
