About the Department
The Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Service (PCCS) is a leading national service providing cardiology and cardiac surgical services for infants and children with congenital and acquired heart disease. As a Paediatric Cardiologist at Starship Children's Health, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of 11 other cardiologists, 3 cardiac surgeons, and 4 fellows in training. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and is committed to ongoing professional development and growth. You will have the opportunity to work on complex cases, contribute to research and education, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences.

About the Role
This 6-month fixed-term, full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care to infants and children with congenital and acquired heart disease. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement treatment plans, participate in teaching, audit, and research activities, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical care to patients with congenital and acquired heart disease
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement treatment plans
- Contribute to teaching, audit, and research activities within the department

Requirements
- Eligible for Locum Tenens/vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collegial environment
- Ability to participate in departmental activities, including teaching, audit, and research
