About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at South Pacific Meats. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, managing plant assets, and collaborating with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain plant assets to minimize downtime
- Lead a team of engineers to achieve business objectives
- Collaborate with the Group Engineering Manager and Improvement Engineers to implement plant improvement projects
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
Requirements and Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the engineering field
- Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015
- Additional training courses such as confined space and working at heights training (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously
