Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) has been training Breeding Technicians for over 70 years, providing a comprehensive training course that equips candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role.

Course Structure

  • The training program consists of two phases: an initial two-week course and a one-year apprenticeship.
  • During the apprenticeship, candidates work alongside an experienced Breeding Technician, submitting and passing four national unit standards administered by Primary ITO.
