Papakura High School is a culturally vibrant school with a high proportion of Maori and Pasifika students (75%). We are seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time mathematics teacher to join our Maths Department.

Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching mathematics and statistics to secondary students (Years 7–15) / wharekura. This includes developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback.

Key Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for teaching mathematics in a culturally diverse environment.
  • A high level of digital competency.
  • The ability and willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

Additional Information
New Zealand teacher registration and certification would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite for applicants. However, the successful applicant will need to obtain this before commencing. You will also have the opportunity to engage in project-based learning that puts our students at the heart of all that we do.
