About the Role
The Foundation Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching mathematics subjects to international students at UP Education International College. This is a part-time (0.5-0.83 FTE) fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming full-time as student numbers continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach mathematics subjects, including Year 13/Grade 12 Mathematics with Calculus, Year 13/Grade 12 Mathematics with Modelling, and Year 13/Grade 12 Statistics.
• Provide academic and pastoral oversight of students, meeting with mentee students after reports are distributed and recording outcomes and actions in our Student Management System.
• Engage with pastoral and academic systems, elevating any issues with academic or pastoral concerns through the Learner Success Team.
• Complete administrative tasks related to these responsibilities.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong commitment to teamwork and be able to make a positive contribution to the faculty. As a highly organized individual who likes to plan and work efficiently, managing your schedule and meeting deadlines will come naturally. You'll also have an interest in teaching in a variety of contexts and be capable of teaching with video technology.
