Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Intensive Care Medicine Specialist to join our team at Southland Hospital. As a member of our Critical Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with anaesthesia department colleagues, and participating in teaching and supervision of junior doctors, nurses, and medical students.

The successful candidate will have post-graduate training and qualification in adult Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM or equivalent) as well as in their other specialist field. They will also be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council in intensive care medicine and/or their other specialty.

  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Salary Range

This role falls within the ASMS Collective Agreement and offers a competitive salary range between $185,380 and $267,980 per annum pro rata.
