Senior Medical Officer ICU Position in MidCentral Region

We are proud to be part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand, and to provide healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. Our ICU team at Palmerston North Hospital is looking for a highly skilled Senior Medical Officer to join our growing team.
The ICU at Palmerston North Hospital is a Level 2 unit, accredited by CICM and ANZCA. We have a mixed unit admitting medical, surgical, trauma and paediatric patients. Our ICU functions as a closed unit, with consultants responsible for management decisions. The unit has 6 beds with a mix of HDU and ICU-level patients. We are currently expanding our capacity to 8 beds.
The ideal candidate will have Fellowship of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent, and experience in anaesthesia and intensive care. They will also be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. As a Senior Medical Officer, you will work closely with our dynamic and supportive team to provide exceptional patient care.
