AFFCO Holdings is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Company Meat Inspector.
About the JobIn this challenging yet rewarding role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our meat products by conducting post-mortem inspections of dressed carcasses and their parts.
You will work closely with our production team to ensure that our Company meets all regulatory requirements and maintains high levels of quality control.
As a key member of our Company Meat Inspection team, you will be required to have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
A strong understanding of animal welfare and food safety principles is essential for this role.
Responsibilities- Conduct post-mortem inspections of dressed carcasses and their parts to identify conditions that may affect food safety standards.
- Ensure that our Company meets all regulatory requirements and maintains high levels of quality control.
- Work closely with our production team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of industry data and submit reports as required.
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold the NZQA Level Four Certificate in Animal Examination.
A valid driver's license and the ability to work a rotating shift pattern are also essential requirements for this role.
