Salary and Benefits

This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary and paid professional registration as per collective agreement. Additionally, relocation allowance may be provided for candidates moving from out of the region.

Job Description

This role involves supporting and empowering young people and their whānau to achieve treatment goals within a harm reduction framework. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders and service users to enhance the interface and liaison between Te Whatu Ora Waitematā and our service.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognized health-related tertiary qualification
  • Full or provisional registration with a relevant professional body (dapaanz, nursing, social work, counselling or related fields)
  • Relevant knowledge and experience working with rangatahi and their families/whānau
  • Knowledge of the concepts and implications of harm reduction and evidence-based AOD interventions
  • Experience with clinical assessment, treatment planning, and goal setting in relation to substance use and/or mental health issues
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective therapeutic and professional relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to implement Te Tiriti o Waitangi in daily work
