Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting volunteers for our Bennydale First Response Unit. As an Ambulance & Events Volunteer, you will provide care and support to patients through their journey, which may start at a 111 call and end with treatment on scene or transportation to a medical facility.
You could be covering various events, from local sports events to school fairs or concerts. We offer NZQA recognised training to ensure you are safe and effective in the field.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Compassionate and professional attitude towards helping people
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Great time management and organisational skills
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)
- Be 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- A clean police record
- Meet our Medical Standards
To meet our requirements, you must pass our assessments, including a physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments, and an interview.
We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, reliable, and committed to continuous learning and training.
