Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire initial credentialing and privileging process for all new medical staff and allied health professional applicants. You will also assist with designated managed care audit coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director Medical Staff Services to ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission Standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement processes to improve credentialing efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in medical staff services, including duties involving medical staff and allied health credentialing.
- Managed care or other healthcare environment experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft products (Word, Excel), with data entry accuracy being critical.
- Excellent/professional communication skills.
- Strong time management, customer service, organization, and analytical skills.
