We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Protection Engineer to join our team at Powerco. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our electrical protection and control systems.
Main Responsibilities:- Design and implement electrical protection and control schemes.
- Maintain and improve engineering standards and templates.
- Contribute to project planning and coordination.
- Analyze problems and propose effective solutions.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Provide technical support for operational challenges.
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in subtransmission and distribution, particularly in protection and control system design. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
You should have hands-on experience in power system analysis and be able to develop and deliver technical training. A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 7 years' experience in Engineering Subtransmission or Distribution networks.
