We are seeking a Student Wellbeing Advocate to join our team at Central Regional Health School. As a key member of our staff, you will work with students, families, and healthcare professionals to promote healthy lifestyles and academic success.

About the Role

This part-time, fixed-term position involves working with primary and intermediate students (Years 1–8) who require additional support. You will adapt the curriculum to meet the individual needs of students, promoting social-emotional learning and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with students, families, and healthcare professionals to develop individualised learning plans
  • Teach students in small groups or one-on-one, using a range of strategies to promote engagement and understanding
  • Communicate effectively with schools and health teams to ensure seamless coordination of student care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
  • A strong, in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum across levels 1–8
  • The ability to work collaboratively within each student's wider team
  • A current practising certificate as a NZ registered teacher
  • A current, full, clean NZ driver licence and a private vehicle for work travel
