We are a leading Australasian company specialising in greenspace and facilities maintenance, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our skilled team based on Auckland's North Shore.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, reporting directly to our NZ Finance Manager.

">Key Responsibilities">
  • Accounts Payable: Manage invoices, coding, reconciliations, and process weekly and 20th payment runs with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Supplier Management: Maintain accurate supplier records, handle queries, and conduct regular reviews to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monthly Journals: Process adjustments and ensure financial data is up-to-date and accurate, supporting month-end processes.
  • Finance Support: Provide training to internal teams on finance processes and systems, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with mail, banking, and maintain organised accounts records, contributing to a productive work environment.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure transactions meet legal and internal requirements, support audits, and contribute to month-end processes.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, recent graduates welcome.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software, SAP preferred.
  • Strong time management skills, able to juggle workload without compromising accuracy.
  • Adaptability and willingness to reprioritise tasks as needed.
  • A team-focused mindset, great work ethic, and sense of humour, fitting well within our supportive and collaborative team.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and skills, such as VBA for Excel or similar.
  • Dependability, cooperation, and focus on building strong working relationships.
  • A valid full driver's license.
