Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Supervisor for Environmental Contaminants. This is a permanent role based at our Wellington Laboratory.

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals, ensuring that our laboratory operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your primary focus will be on supervising members of the team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure that their specific area of responsibility operates effectively.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chemical Extraction Team Leader and other lab Supervisors to ensure seamless workflow and collaboration across teams.

Your key duties will include:

  • Ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Liaising with other lab Supervisors to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Overseeing sample extraction schedules and ensuring timely completion.
  • Developing and implementing processes to ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in Chemistry or Food Science.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role, with a focus on team development and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and experience with LIMS systems.
