This role will involve managing the day-to-day activities of the Corporate Accounting team, overseeing the general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.

About the Role

  • Manage the Corporate Accounting team, providing guidance and direction on accounting issues and complex transactions
  • Oversee the general ledger and month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Actuarial, Investments, and Tax, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing a team of accounting professionals
