About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Tongariro Prison. As a Primary Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary health care services to individuals within the corrections facility.
Your daily responsibilities will include assessing and managing individuals with various health needs, including physical and mental health, substance abuse, health education, and responding to emergencies while offering acute care.
To succeed in this role, you will need recent clinical experience in either primary or secondary health care nursing, as well as a diverse range of post-graduate clinical exposure. You must also be able to assess and respond effectively to emergency situations, possess a strong motivation to continue learning and advancing professionally, and demonstrate a non-judgmental approach.
