Dental Health Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Oral Health Therapist to join our team in Waihi and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work on a mobile dental unit, conducting oral health assessments, providing preventive and therapeutic dental treatments, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices.
The ideal candidate will have up-to-date clinical skills, knowledge of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and be able to work effectively with whanau to improve oral health. They will also be flexible, organised, self-motivated, and a team player who values support, friendship, and development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct oral health assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide preventive and therapeutic dental treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention
- Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to promote holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Have up-to-date clinical skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Be flexible, organised, self-motivated, and demonstrate that you can work effectively with whanau to improve oral health
