We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Wellington District Nurse team as a Continence District Nurse. In this role, you will work with complex incontinence clients, providing clinical and consultative support for continence or urological conditions. You will also have the opportunity to teach nursing staff in the community setting, run study sessions, and maintain competencies in continence/urology nursing.

The district nurse team supports the discharge of patients from hospital into the Wellington community setting, and works closely with Community Health, Health Care Assistants (HCA's) team to assess patients who require home personal cares. As a District Nurse, you will be working in the community setting with patients receiving home interventions such as intra venous therapy, palliative care, wound care, compression bandaging, Doppler assessment, medication management, stoma care, incontinence care, and respiratory care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in community, primary health, or medical nursing, with experience in working in the community setting. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
