We are looking for an experienced people leader to join our existing team of leaders. This is a dedicated people leadership role focused on performance, development, and wellbeing, rather than direct work delivery or technical oversight.

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic capability initiatives
  • Identifying emerging capability and capacity needs within the team and across New Zealand Government

The annual appointing range for this role is $130,000 to $145,000 depending on skills and experience.

Benefits:
  • Interesting work which impacts New Zealand as we care for whenua and moana

  • If eligible for paid parental leave, you will be entitled to a top-up payment for the first 18 weeks of the 26 weeks
  • A minimum of four weeks and three days annual leave

Toitū Te Whenua is a diverse team of individuals with different experience and perspectives. We know that people from underrepresented groups don't apply for roles if they're not a 100% match, but we're not looking for perfection, we're looking for potential.
