About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a talented Dental Registrar to join our team in the Auckland Region. As a Paediatric Dentistry Non-Training Registrar, you will have the opportunity to work and gain clinical experience in a busy hospital environment providing care to both out-patient and in-patients.
You will have a role with Auckland Regional Hospital & Specialist Dental teams in the delivery of dental and maxillofacial care. Senior clinicians will support you as you gain experience in a broad range of clinical dentistry: dental care for medically complex and special care children, paediatric dentistry, oral medicine, exodontia and oral surgery, and management of maxillofacial and dental trauma.
This practical and broad range of experience is a great foundation for hospital and general dental practice and for future specialist study. You will be working as part of the Hospital & Specialist Dentistry team across a number of hospital facilities within Auckland.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide high-quality patient care as part of the Hospital & Specialist Dentistry team
- To work collaboratively with senior clinicians to develop clinical skills and knowledge
- To participate in the delivery of dental and maxillofacial care services
- To contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to dental care
Requirements
- A current registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand
- A qualification in dental studies (BDS or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
