Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Design Manager to lead our product design team in Auckland, New Zealand.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, mentoring junior staff, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design process for multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Industrial Design or Product Development
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Industrial Designer, with a Consulting environment understanding
  • Minimum 3 years of project leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Solidworks and DFMA principles
  • Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder workshops and effective communication skills
  • Strong network of design and manufacturing contacts
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Keyshot
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
