Nala Groups is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technologist to join our team as a Car Mechanic. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Routine Maintenance: Perform daily inspections and services on company vehicles to ensure they remain in excellent working condition.
  2. Repair Work: Conduct Warrant of Fitness (WOF) checks and complete repairs as per New Zealand regulations.
  3. Diagnostic Skills: Diagnose mechanical issues using test equipment and software and determine appropriate solutions.
  4. Parts Replacement: Replace or repair faulty parts and components with the highest quality materials.
  5. Compliance Checks: Conduct vehicle inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  6. Test Driving: Test drive vehicles after each service and maintain accurate records relating to clients, vehicles, parts, and service history.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
  8. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and offering advice on vehicle care.

Requirements:

  1. Able to speak English & Mandarin.
  2. At least a Diploma certificate.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Motor Mechanic is required, or a Level 4 qualification in automotive engineering or an equivalent overseas qualification.
  4. Must have over 3 years of experience in repairing European cars.
  5. Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  6. Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
  7. Clear and professional communication with team members and customers to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
