As an Electrical Lineworker, you will play a critical part in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our electricity network in Upper Hutt.

Key responsibilities will include undertaking various tasks such as hot stick or glove and barrier work methods up to and including 66kV, identifying electrical systems in preparation for work, and climbing and working on electricity network structures.

• You will use lines machinery plant and equipment in an electricity network environment and develop work plans for construction and servicing overhead electricity supply lines and equipment.
• Determining the condition of electricity supply lines and applying earths to and removing earths from overhead electricity supply line conductors is also a crucial aspect of this role.

To be successful in this position, you will require a trade qualification as a distribution line mechanic with a minimum of 2 years post certification/registration experience in general line work, including current competence in the equivalent earthed line processes to be undertaken live.
