The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a high-performing Breakfast show that meets both the editorial ambitions and agreed targets of quality and ratings.
  • Making sure the show remains Aotearoa's leading morning news TV programme.
  • Driving the on-air and off-air team to create content that resonates on-air and online.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated extensive news journalism experience, preferably in television, along with strong editorial management and high editorial integrity.

A strong leader and people manager, you will have a proven track record of successfully leading and developing a high-performing team. You will also possess solid news judgement and awareness of how that applies to different types of programmes.
