**About the Position**

The New Zealand Government is committed to providing excellent healthcare services to its citizens. As a part of this commitment, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Hillmorton Hospital in Christchurch.

The position available is for a 0.5FTE (20 hours per week) Clinical Psychologist to work within the Adult Community Mental Health Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group treatment to clients with a range of mental disorders.

The MindSight Programme is a specialist treatment service for consumers with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. The programme is an integrated component of Community Mental Health services involving eight half-time clinicians who specialise in delivering Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT).

In this role, you will utilise your expertise to provide comprehensive assessment and support to clients and their families/whanau. You will also be an active participant in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with referrers and colleagues from other agencies.

The position provides ongoing supervision and support to maintain and develop MBT practitioner skills, along with support for general professional development through ongoing education.

We welcome applications from candidates who hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology or equivalent registration as a Psychologist in the clinical scope of practice. Previous experience in the Adult Mental Health field is preferred, but not essential. If required, training in MBT will be provided.
