Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to provide assessment, treatment, and support services to children, adolescents, and their families.

About the Role

This is a 1.0FTE, 40-hour per week position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a community setting, providing specialist assessments and treatments to children, adolescents, and their Whanau (family). The successful candidate will be an active, supportive member of the team, developing treatment programs, understanding training to clinicians within the team, and facilitating Whanau meetings as well as family interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Assess and treat children, adolescents, and their families
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide triage to clients in crisis
  • Undertake other duties to maintain service leadership

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least three to five years of post-license training and experience in child and adolescent mental health settings
  • Knowledge of child psychology and development
  • Able and willing to manage your own caseload
  • Able and willing to provide a range of assessments and therapies
  • Full driver's license
  • Computer literacy
  • Able to apply theoretical concepts and professional knowledge to practice
  • Eligible to receive a New Zealand Practicing Certificate prior to starting work
  • Able and willing to commit at least two years
