Role Overview
This role involves owning the definition and delivery of solutions that align with our Digital architecture roadmap. You will collaborate with the principal architect, digital teams, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties to translate business challenges and opportunities into actionable deliverables for the Digital team. Your technical guidance and leadership will be crucial in ensuring the best outcomes for Watercare are provided by the Digital team.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain standards and practices within Digital's architecture chapter, ensuring alignment with Watercare's needs.
- Provide quality assurance for all design activity within the Digital team.
- Offer input on delivery plans, including tasks, dependencies, timelines, and necessary resources to achieve prioritized business outcomes for Digital delivery.
- Guide the effective sequencing of Digital change to minimize technical debt and manage organizational change.
- Own end-to-end solution design for assigned initiatives, squads, and teams, including changes with dependencies or impacts on other technologies or domains.
- Collaborate with technical SMEs to ensure completeness of designs for the solutions you're responsible for.
- Create and contribute to design decisions, solution overviews, component designs, and domain overviews, and their subsequent approval through the architecture governance process.
- Offer technical advice and guidance to stakeholders on opportunities within your allocated domains for improving the value Watercare derives from its Digital assets.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the Digital team to support their work and aspirations within architecture.
