Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead our Stomal Therapy team in Lower Hutt. As a key member of our Community Health Service, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to individuals with ostomies.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a registered nurse with postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience in community nursing, endoscopy, or general surgical nursing. You will have a strong understanding of stoma-related procedures and be able to provide comprehensive support to patients across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of service-specific pathways, protocols, and guidelines for stoma care.
  • Collaborate with the Specialist Community Health Nursing Service to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to district nursing staff on stoma-related procedures.
  • Develop and implement education programs for healthcare professionals and patients on stoma care and management.

We offer a competitive salary range of $NZ 98,000 - $123,000 per annum, depending on experience.
