About the Opportunity

As a key member of our Sustainability team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of compliance across the grid.

Your comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment within the electricity industry will underpin your proven experience in internal compliance, investigating power system events or asset management issues, and reporting. You will be instrumental in developing frameworks and guidelines to enhance processes, conducting system assurance, monitoring grid compliance, managing breaches, and facilitating asset capability changes.

This role will see you working closely with our Grid Divisions, System Operations, Customers, and Service Providers to ensure that as Grid Owner Transpower meets statutory and regulatory requirements by implementing robust processes and systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective information flow
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to achieve asset management goals and support equipment installation, commissioning, and de-commissioning
  • Driving process and system improvements to mitigate and prevent further risks and breaches of the EIPC

A Tertiary qualification in engineering, STEM or an equivalent field is required. We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify critical information and navigate ambiguity effectively.
