**Job Summary:**

The Department of Conservation (DOC) is looking for a Senior Permissions Advisor to join our team. This role will provide expert guidance on permissions processes and support decision-makers to ensure conservation values and legal compliance.

**Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical assessments and strategic analysis to inform decision-making
  • Advising and supporting decision-makers to ensure conservation values and legal compliance are at the forefront of all decisions
  • Contribute to operational policy development and process improvements
  • Maintain strong relationships and collaborate within a cross-agency environment

**Requirements:

  • Experience navigating regulatory and consenting processes in conservation or natural resource contexts
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and processes related to permissions
  • Highly organised and capable of managing a high-profile caseload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Preferably a university qualification in a related field or equivalent experience
