About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate New Graduate Midwife to join our team in the Southern region. As a midwife, you will have the opportunity to work in various practice environments, including secondary and tertiary hospitals, primary maternity units, and rural settings.
You will be part of an integrated system where primary, secondary, and tertiary services network to provide a safe childbearing journey for women and their whanau. This role offers the chance to tailor your career across different work environments and gain experience in a range of options, including caseload teams and rotations through antenatal, labour and birthing suite, and postnatal wards.
About You
- Graduated with a Bachelor of Midwifery in 2024 or 2025
- Possession of strong communication skills to build a strong partnership with women/pregnant people and their whanau
- Commitment to working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, embracing each other's diversity and strength
- Integrity, strong values, and positive attitude
About Us
Health New Zealand | Southern is a leading healthcare provider in the region, offering a comprehensive range of services to diverse communities. We take pride in delivering local and creative solutions to meet the needs of our patients and whanau.
This role offers a salary of $82,642 per annum, pro rata, plus Kiwisaver. The successful applicant will begin their role anytime from December 2024 onwards. Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including occupational health assessment, police vetting, and serious misconduct checks.
