About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of skill and expertise in echocardiography. The successful candidate will be working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to perform and report on transthoracic cardiac ultrasound examinations.

In addition to performing echocardiograms, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing technical reports, identifying and reporting cardiac pathologies, and participating in the on-call after hours service. They will also be required to support other more complex procedures in the operating theatre and cardiac catheter lab.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in echocardiography
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Current practicing certificate with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board (MRTB)
