About the Job

This role is a key contribution to the creation and maintenance of power electronics products in Napier, New Zealand. We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Specialist to join our team at ABB Schweiz Ag.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing a team of engineers and technicians.
  2. Delivering lab testing in conjunction with agile teams.
  3. Hands-on power testing of components and products for verification and validation of designs.
  4. Responsibility for infrastructure improvements and expansion.
  5. Working closely with agile teams for the definition of product test requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You must have 5 years of experience in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • You must possess an enhanced knowledge of 3-phase systems, UPS, Energy Storage Systems, Variable Speed Drives.
  • You must be innovative around problem-solving and debugging.
  • You must hold a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
