About the Role

The Service Manager plays a critical role in leading and managing assigned services to deliver efficient, effective, equitable, and safe patient care within available resources across the district. Key aspects of the position include:

  • Developing and implementing service delivery processes
  • Managing financial performance and budget allocation
  • Ensuring compliance with health targets and regulations
  • Overseeing human resource management and quality assurance initiatives
  • Coordinating certification and accreditation efforts
  • Driving clinical pathway development and improvement
  • Fostering collaboration among clinical and support staff

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualification in health or a relevant field
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and staff
  • Previous experience leading teams in a clinical environment
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives giving effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly in healthcare settings
