We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team in Hawera, New Zealand.

This is a full-time permanent role that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, including cost estimations, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate cost estimations and quantity take-offs
• Tender submissions and bid documentation
• Subcontractor quotes and material supplier proposals
• Cost-benefit analyses and value engineering
• Project cost monitoring and forecasting
• Monthly progress claims and variations
• Liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction estimating
• Industry-standard estimating software proficiency
• Civil construction methods and materials knowledge
• Contract documentation and tendering process expertise
• NZS3910 and other relevant construction contracts experience
